D.C. Court of Appeals Welcomes Comments on Proposed Amendments to Rules of Professional Conduct

In response to a proposal from the D.C. Bar, the court is considering whether to amend D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct 1.2 relating to limited-scope representation. Memoranda explaining the amendments proposed by the Bar are included within the notice. The court specifically invites interested parties to address whether the court should adopt the Bar's proposal or the approach reflected in the corresponding American Bar Association model rule.

This notice is published to provide interested parties an opportunity to submit written comments concerning the proposals under consideration. Comments must be submitted by July 31, 2018. Comments may be submitted by email, or submitted in writing to:

Sadina Montani Wins as D.C. Bar President-Elect

Sadina Montani, a partner at Crowell & Moring LLP, has been elected president-elect of the D.C. Bar for the 2024–2025 term. Montani will serve in that position for one year starting July 1 before becoming president in 2025. With Montani’s installation, incumbent President-Elect Shaun M. Snyder will become the Bar’s 53rd president.
